We are a team of committed specialists with extensive experience of managing Healthcare strategy, Business Case preparation, Capital Planning and Capital Process and Project Management.

All members of the team are ex-NHS Capital/Estates Professionals with experience of managing complex healthcare projects for NHS Trusts in the Tertiary, Secondary, Primary and Mental Health Sectors.

The Healthcare Capital Projects’ Team has a thorough understanding of NHS Procedures.

Most of our projects are managed using PRINCE 2 methodology.

Healthcare Capital Projects works with its Clients to:

· Establish the Clients needs, not wants

· Evaluate the existing Service Delivery Model including Models of Care and Care Pathways.

· Assess trends and projected workloads and analyse the strategic fit and direction of the service vehicle in relation to National/Local and Trust Strategies.

· Identify Funding Strategies within the Strategic Outline Case (SOC) Outline Business Case (OBC) and Full Business Case (FBC) processes including LIFT, P21, PFI and Traditionally Funded Schemes. Discussing futures with Strategic Health Authorities and working closely with local Capital Investment Units.

· Set out a suitable methodology for managing a project re: Project Boards/Project Teams/Specialist Sub-Project Groups etc. Clearly identifying roles and responsibilities through the use of Project Initiation Documentation, Project Execution Plans, MCP’s and Project Briefing including Planning Policy Design Description.

· Procure the services of designers and other specialists – Business Case Writers, Service Planners, Corporate Planners in accordance with Capital Investment Manual Procedures and local SFI’s and SI’s.

Healthcare Capital Projects:

Healthcare Capital Projects will work with its Clients internal stakeholders to clearly identify and rationalize Clinical Applications

Healthcare Capital Projects will manage the Business Case Process on behalf of the Client and provide Capital Planning Inputs as required. The Healthcare Capital Projects team will work in conjunction with the Client’s Estates Teams to establish interfaces on services infrastructure Estates Strategies and Development Central Plans (DCP's) as appropriate. Healthcare Capital Projects acknowledges the integration of a combined approach achieving reduced backlog and spatial rationalization may also be part of the strategic inputs of the case.
